The HICA Group has a new opening for a Care Assistant at our specialist dementia care home in Grimsby – Fairways! The company is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK. Pay & Hours: £11.50 per hour 24 – 36 hours per week Working to a rota covering 7 days per week (every other weekend) The Role: By becoming a Care Assistant, you will support our services users to maintain their independence by assisting with everyday tasks and activities, in line with their individual needs: Reporting any safeguarding concerns Promote independence of our residents at all times to improve their quality of life Assist with meals and drinks to support our resident’s overall nutrition Contribute and support during activities Maintain and develop professional relations with families Completing all relevant paperwork in a timely manner Assist with mobility and transferring safely e.g. from bed to chair. Full training is provided so if you are new to the care sector, we will help you start your journey with confidence Personal care (washing, dressing, oral hygiene) Observe and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being reporting any changes About you: Are you a talented care professional looking to make a real difference in people’s lives? Our contemporary facilities are purpose-built and conveniently located on a single level, creating a comfortable and socially engaging environment for our residents. Recognising the unique needs, hobbies, and preferences of each resident, we collaborate closely with you and your family to develop personalised care plans. Our dedicated team offers a diverse range of activities to ensure an enriching experience for all.
