About the role

Our client is looking for passionate individuals to join their friendly, award-winning team where your work as a Care Assistant will be genuinely valued. You’ll be expected to travel between customers in Ferndown and Verwood, to the Head Office and surrounding areas, so it is essential that as a Care Assistant, you have a driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

As a Care Assistant, you will support the service user in their day-to-day lives, including providing personal care, social activities, and meal times to promote independence and maximise their quality of life.

About the responsibilities

Our client is committed to keeping the elderly and vulnerable in the comfort of their own homes, and their Care Assistants help with anything from everyday tasks around their customers’ homes through to complex care needs. They appreciate that every customer is different, and this is why every day will be different. As a Care Assistant, your role will include: Companionship Assisting customers with preparing and cooking meals Supporting customers with all aspects of personal care Assisting customers with all aspects of their medication Supporting customers with home management, such as housework and errands Promoting customer well-being to live their life to the full

About you

As a Care Assistant, previous experience would be beneficial; however, you'll receive training and your own mentor to support and assist you as you learn your new role. The ideal candidate for the role of Care Assistant will have / be: Over the age of 18 years old Excellent communicator and the ability to work well with others Some experience in a care-related role, even supporting a relative or loved one Comfortable with supporting all aspects of personal care Full driving licence and access to a vehicle

As a Care Assistant, full-time and part-time hours are available, and there is a salary on offer of up to £15 plus you will receive: Paid travel time – you are paid for the time it takes you to travel between each customer visit Paid mileage of 40p per mile between calls Double bank holiday pay rates Free Blue Light card – discounts and special offers for hundreds of retailers Access to nationally recognised qualifications including your Care Certificate and NVQs
