Care Assistant for a Teenage
P/T @ £11.44/hr in Radstock - FTE - £22.3k - Radstock - BA3 Personal Assistant/Support Worker
Required for an active 13-year-old boy with Autism, ADHD, severe learning disability, and non-verbal communication in Bath, BA3, to access the community and offer respite for the family. PA required for 5 hours per week, preferably on a Saturday or Sunday, and occasionally in the evening; however, this can be flexible. There will also be opportunities for additional hours during school holidays. Rate of pay: £11.44 per hour for weekdays and weekends. PA will be lone working, providing support at home and in the community to help build confidence to engage in social activities such as swimming, parks, trampoline parks, and the general outdoors. Requires prompting with toileting and assistance with cleanliness afterwards. The ideal candidate will be mature, have experience and understanding of Autism and behavioral issues, and possess a calm but firm manner, patience, a good sense of humor, and lots of energy. Car owner essential; the PA must have a full, clean UK driving license. Promoting safety in the community and danger awareness is important. Role subject to an Enhanced DBS check. This position is initially to cover maternity leave but may lead to a permanent position.
