We are looking for someone to support J, a 13-year-old young man who would like some alternative company other than his parents! J loves shopping, motorbiking (at Bumpy), riding his bike & scooter, trains, football, building and making things, eating out, gaming, and baking. Responsibilities
Provide support/supervision in the community to help keep J safe and build up his life skills. Assist J in becoming more independent by prompting and breaking down communication. Implement strategies for emotional regulation and de-escalation when necessary. Set clear expectations and boundaries to help J feel secure. Engage in activities that J enjoys, ensuring he remains active and entertained. Qualifications
Understanding of sensory processing and strategies to support emotional regulation is beneficial. A positive attitude and the ability to connect with J are essential. We have 3 hours per week and 5 hours per week during school holidays. We can be flexible with days and times.
