Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in the Woodlands Care Home. You will be responsible for supporting residents with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while maintaining a respectful and dignified approach to care. Duties Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding, adhering to dietary requirements as outlined in care plans. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff. Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life. Follow established care plans and contribute to the development of individualized support strategies. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Experience Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication is an advantage. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and team members. Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively is beneficial. Join us in making a difference in the lives of those we care for!
