We ensure everyone is cared for with dignity and respect and that they are engaged in how they receive support from our staff. You will play a key role in ensuring they engage in meaningful activities and receive the best support in line with their individual needs. Main Duties Enable people to remain as independent as possible whilst providing support and assistance as per the individual’s needs, including delivering personal care such as washing, dressing, and oral care. Be understanding and patient toward everyone and their needs, encouraging and supporting them to participate in leisure activities as appropriate to their preferences, ensuring their social and emotional needs are met. Responsible for making and changing beds, tidying rooms, undertaking light cleaning duties as needed, and generally assisting in ensuring that the home is kept clean, pleasant, and welcoming at all times. Help serve meals and drinks at mealtimes, taking care to present meals and refreshments attractively, with polite and courteous service, providing the appropriate level of support at mealtimes. Understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements relevant to the role, such as Health & Safety, COSHH, and all aspects of the Care Standards Act, maintaining a safe environment throughout the home.
