The Role of a Care Assistant Home Instead is looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients in Retford and Gainsborough. We are seeking caring individuals who can support our clients and offer both full-time and part-time positions. Care assistants support clients in the community to live and remain in their own home. Due to the nature of the role in the community, you must be willing to travel around Rotherham and commit to working a combination of the following shift times:

7am – 2.30pm and 3.45pm – 9.45pm , including alternative weekends and bank holidays, and at least two evening shifts per week. We require applicants to have a valid driving licence, access to a car, and be willing to add business insurance to their insurance policy. You will support clients with: Medication Meal preparation Shopping General companionship and wellbeing Taking clients to medical appointments Qualifications

Passion for supporting others and delivering outstanding care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build professional relationships Reliability, trustworthiness, and respect for confidentiality Physical stamina to assist with mobility and personal care tasks Patience, empathy, and understanding towards clients' needs Basic literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record-keeping Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and health screenings Previous experience in a care setting is desirable, but not essential
