Maplewood Independent Living are looking for carers/support workers in and around the Essex area.

We currently have clients in Great Dunmow, Saffron Waldon, Chelmsford, Braintree and Halstead.

You would need to be able to drive and have business insurance.

We are looking for care assistants and support workers to support clients in their own home.

Full or part time hours available.

The Role

To support them to live as independently as possible.

To accompany them with shopping and any appointments.

Assist with daily tasks in the home, preparing and cooking meals.

Assisting with personal care.

Assisting with medication.

Maintain clear and accurate records.

Ensure health, safety and well-being of the service users and yourself.

Maintain regular and courteous contact with the branch manager.

The Requirements

Reliable with an excellent work ethic.

Provide the highest standards of care and support.

Respect the individuality and confidentiality of the service users.

Respect the service user’s independence and authority, be mindful of their wishes and to always treat them with fairness and courtesy.

Ensure and adhere to strict standards of health and safety thereby ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the service users and themselves at all times.

Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Have a valid driving licence, own transport with business insurance.

Desired Skills

Previous experience is advantageous, however not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.

Excellent communications skills – good standard of spoken and written English.

Reliability.

Good timekeeping.

Trustworthy.

Smart professional appearance.

Responsible.

Dedicated team player.
