Job Description: As a Care Assistant, the candidate is required to support the home carer or senior care workers. They will work alongside the home carer or senior care workers and the duties include light cleaning of the room, assisting with meals, providing companionship, and helping with basic personal care tasks to the service users under the supervision of the home carer or senior care worker.
Job Responsibilities:
To work in line with the instruction or supervision of the home carer or senior care worker. To assist and enable service users with getting up and going to bed. To assist and enable service users with appliances (hearing aids, spectacles, artificial limbs, leg callipers). To assist and enable service users with skin and hair care, including assistance with shaving. To assist and enable service users to undress, wash, use the toilet, and bathe. To serve meals to service users at the table or in bed and assist with feeding if required. To assist service users in overall comfort and well-being. To be aware of the changing needs of a service user and to report these to the Care worker or Senior Care worker. To assist service users with physical therapy exercises. To provide emotional support to service users. To always act, whilst on duty, following Pure Recruitment Services philosophy. To exercise responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the policies and procedures of Pure Recruitment Services, including fire, reporting of accidents and call out of GP/District Nurse/emergency services.
