A young gentleman is looking for a personal assistant to support him in living an independent life on a day-to-day basis. As a personal assistant, you will be required to provide support in a range of areas including, but not limited to:
Support with personal care and all aspects relating to this, i.e., looking after my appearance and maintaining a good standard of hygiene. Support with prompts around morning routine, i.e., personal care, wash, dress, etc. Awareness and ability to support someone with epilepsy, autism, and learning disabilities, and to communicate via non-verbal cues.
We are looking for someone who is adaptable and open to getting to know me and my family. Open to applicants with no previous support experience; however, a positive attitude to learn is essential. If you're friendly, enthusiastic, motivating, caring, a good listener, calm, and want to support someone in remaining independent, this job is for you!
This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by employer) and references.
Shift Pattern Hours are 7.5hrs per week, plus 3hrs on weekends twice a month, times to be agreed. Flexibility required.
