Are you an experienced Care Service Director looking for an exciting opportunity to work in an established service as part of a growing company that puts service users and residents at the heart of everything it does? If so, join us as The Care Service Director at Gardens and Jacobs Neurological Centre and experience what delivering great healthcare feels like. Working 37.5 hours a week, you will have overall leadership and management responsibility of the service and the transdisciplinary team. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for the delivery of excellent care and operational performance, whilst continuing to develop commercial opportunities with purchasers and referrers. We are looking for a self-motivated experienced Service Director who wants to provide outstanding quality services, lead key clinical professionals, act with integrity and be accountable for the delivery of care. You will work alongside an established multi-disciplinary team delivering individualised approaches to the care and treatment of people admitted to the service and their families. Your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring both quality and financial targets are met, and facilitating the development of quality healthcare services, ensuring that they respond to the changing needs of purchasers and patients, and also reflect market trends and evidence-based practice. Together with the senior management team on site, maintain existing quality outcomes, ensuring adherence to the service's objectives, quality improvement and business plans. Promoting and enhancing the services reputation for specialist care and service. Fulfilling the role of Registered Manager as per CQC expectations. To be successful in this role, you'll need:

An excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector (essential), together with a clinical background in and understanding of physically complex care. Experience in managing a service going through rapid improvement and change. A passion for improving clinical quality and individual care. An emphasis on performance and delivery in order to support successful service delivery and development, budget control, business development and revenue generation. An inclusive and supportive management style balanced with strong leadership, is a critical factor in the success of this role, in order to provide direction and implement change. Gardens Neurological Centre and Jacobs Neurological Centre have a combined total of 132 beds on the same site in Sawbridgeworth (CM21 0HH), which is on the Hertfordshire and Essex border within easy travelling distance of London and Cambridge. The two Centres deliver specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions, and brain or spinal injuries who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise functional ability. Recovery is assisted wherever possible, with emphasis placed on maximising each individual's abilities, comfort and quality of life. Each service has communal lounges, dining rooms, and all bedrooms have en-suite facilities with single occupancy. All rooms are adapted to each resident's requirements according to their assessments and needs. What you will get:
