As an area manager at Wood Care Group, you will work in busy care homes ensuring the standards of the home are maintained and audits are completed. Applicants should have experience as a previous registered manager, and ideally the candidate will have previous clinical experience which will assist with the Nursing Care Home Managers in compliance and advice.
As this is an area role, travel may be required across all of our sites; however, the main areas to be covered will be our Doncaster and Barnsley homes with a week in each home.

About You:

Previous experience working in a Care Home environment; it is essential that you have been a previous registered manager, ideally in a nursing home.
Experience of care planning, medication management, and people management, as well as responding to complaints and CQC enquiries.
A committed and organised approach to ensure that audits are completed on time.
A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
On-call will be a requirement of this role.
Other Duties:
Attend staff meetings and training at Head Office in Manchester.
Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs of the home and participate in appropriate training, encouraging and supporting staff in their development.
Ensure understanding of safeguarding responsibilities, developing skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect to adults who need care and support, and ensure that safeguarding and whistleblowing policies are adhered to at all times.
Provide evidence of any untaken training.
Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation and work in a safe environment.
Complete all training as determined by Head Office.
Feedback audit scores and support the managers in the running of their homes.
