We’re searching for a proactive and dedicated Registered Home Manager to lead a committed care and hospitality team at their warm and welcoming 26-bed Christian residential care home located in Whitehaven, Cumbria.

This role is more than just a job – it’s a calling. They seek a manager who aligns with their evangelical Christian ethos to continue their tradition of faith-led care for their residents.

The organisation is driven by a mission to serve and enrich the lives of older people through person-centred care within a nurturing Christian community.

Your new job

Ensure high-quality care in line with existing policies and Christian values.

Lead and manage the care and hospitality teams ensuring they are well-trained and motivated.

Oversee the development and implementation of care plans

Responsible for the home’s budget, in conjunction with the head office finance team.

Manage complaints from residents, relatives and staff in accordance with policy.

Engage with local support groups to maximise voluntary help and spiritual support.

Uphold the Christian ethos of the home through leadership and example.

Requirements

Management experience in a residential care home or similar setting.

Qualification in Health & Social Care (Level 3 or above).

Strong leadership and people management skills.

A passion for person-centred care and working with older people.

Excellent organisational and communication abilities.

IT proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Ability to manage workload and remain calm under pressure.

Benefits

Salary: £47,000 to £50,000 per annum

Full-time, 40 hours per week, with occasional weekend, bank holiday, and on-call cover as required.
