£39,587 Lambeth Young persons service Are you a driven and compassionate individual looking to work with young people aged 18 - 25? If so, we are looking for a Manager to support the service. We are looking for individuals with a proven record of engaging positively with vulnerable young people or other vulnerable groups, with an understanding of relevant policies and legislation. The Young People's Service provides housing-related support and interventions to 9 individuals with a range of issues living in shared accommodation. These young people may be leaving local authority care, be homeless, threatened with homelessness, or living in accommodation that does not meet their identified needs. The service provides 'step up' or 'step down' from other supported accommodation, as appropriate. The focus of the service is to provide safe, accommodation-based housing support services for young people with the aim of promoting maximum independence for each individual. What you’ll need to succeed To be successful in this role, previous experience of supporting young people between 18-25 is essential. You will demonstrate an understanding of what good support looks like, which is appropriate to the age, gender, disability, race, religion, and sexuality of the customer to improve their quality of life and independence. It is essential that you have good IT, verbal communication, and written skills to support the customers with relevant paperwork. You must have a passion for providing excellent support to customers and strive for continual improvement. You will embrace our core values and support in embedding these in everything the team does.
