Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in need, including those in nursing homes, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring their overall well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, empathy, and the ability to handle various responsibilities, including heavy lifting and meal preparation. Responsibilities Provide personal care and support to residents or clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety during heavy lifting tasks. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Monitor and document the health and well-being of clients, reporting any changes to nursing staff or family members. Engage in meaningful activities with clients, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Administer first aid as necessary and ensure a safe environment for all individuals under care. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the living space of clients. Qualifications Previous experience in a care setting such as a nursing home or similar environment is preferred. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients as needed. Strong skills in patient care, including experience with childcare or dementia care. Certification in first aid is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others.
