Caregivers with Home Instead are called Care Professionals. Job Description Growing older can be very stressful for some people, so can you imagine taking someone out of their home too? Our home care avoids this, and our Care Professionals allow older people to live long and happy lives, whilst promoting their autonomy and independence. Do you want to make a real difference to someone’s life? We are looking for kind, compassionate, and dedicated Care Professionals to join our team. As a Care Professional, you will provide a variety of non-medical services. Responsibilities include: Providing personal care Assisting clients with daily living activities, meal preparation, and light housework Administering medication as prescribed Maintaining accurate records of care provided Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals Driving clients to appointments and social events Qualifications You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a Care Professional. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience. Requirements: A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle A caring, compassionate nature Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work weekends and evenings Additional Information We encourage applications from all sections of the community as we want to reflect the neighbourhoods in which we work.
