Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance, particularly in assisted living and senior care environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients while fostering a supportive and nurturing atmosphere. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to schedules and dosages. Drive clients to appointments or social activities, ensuring their safety during transport. Implement behaviour management strategies when necessary to support clients with specific needs. Perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility or transferring them between locations. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Skills Experience in assisted living or senior care is highly desirable. Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding. Ability to drive safely and responsibly, with a valid driving licence preferred. Proficient in meal preparation, catering to individual dietary needs. Knowledge of medication administration protocols is beneficial. Previous experience as a nurse or in a healthcare setting is an advantage. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and their families. Capability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting clients with mobility tasks.
