Use of dedicated CES software to record acceptance
Preparation and facilitation of shipments for examination of shipments per the instructions of CBP Coordination of the timely collection and release of cargo from on-airport carrier warehouses required for CBP examination. Responsibilities include scheduling and dispatching of collection teams as well as participation in the physical collection. Analysis and reporting of route data and use thereof to assist in creation of efficient drayage schedules. Processing of shipment pickups and use of CES software to verify AMS disposition prior to dock delivery.
Delivery of physical cargo to consignee’s representative.
Development of reports to be used to monitor examination activity and trends for review by facility management. Maintenance of exam cargo inventory through its processing at the facility. Ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations, including AMS/ACE usage, as well as applicable Dangerous Goods requirements (storage). Use of warehouse and drayage equipment including forklifts and cargo vans. Enforce company's Standard Operating Procedures and policies Assure proper compliance with local and international laws and regulations Coordinate and communicate associated project assignments to achieve target tasks Customer and stakeholder communication, providing updates and support to customers and CBP officials regarding examinations and related activities. Perform hands-on training to improve efficiency/effectiveness for all CES cargo functions. Management reserves the right to assign/unassign any additional responsibilities, tasks based upon customer, Customs or operational needs. Minimum Requirements HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age and must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain Port Authority or Airport Authority (if applicable) identification and permit to use vehicles ramp side. Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM, ability to complete basic data analysis, intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Customer service experience in logistics or related environment. Preferred Skills Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language. Prior use of cargo handling systems (i.e. CargoSpot, ePic) (preferred but not required). Understanding of AMS/ACE customs systems. Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work weekends and holidays, rotating shifts and schedules. Ability to work outside with potential to be exposed to extreme weather conditions.
