Job Description:
Clearfield Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled 1st Fix Carpenter on behalf of our client in Basildon, Essex. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in carpentry, along with possessing their own 1st fix tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
Perform first fix carpentry tasks including structural framework, roofing, and floor joists. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to execute tasks accurately. Measure, cut, and shape materials precisely to ensure a proper fit and finish. Install structural components such as wall studs, beams, and trusses. Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors as necessary to complete projects on time and within budget. Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a carpenter, with a focus on 1st fix carpentry. Proficient in using a variety of carpentry tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship. Health and safety conscious, with knowledge of PPE requirements.
