W&A is partnering with an innovative mid-tier accountancy practice to help source a CASS Audit Specialist to support their rapid growth.

Our client is flexible on location with offices across Scotland and other UK offices too.

The ideal candidate would be a key contributor to the practice's strategy and development, involved in business development alongside their leadership team, as well as delivering CASS assurance, responding to technical queries, and supporting learning and development.

Their client base is broad, with clients of all shapes and sizes across the UK, from startup entities to FTSE-250 companies.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the business at a time when they are seeking to build their CASS function, providing career development opportunities and opportunities to attract new clients.

Key Responsibilities: Principal contact for clients on day-to-day matters, from planning through to completion of assignments Training, supporting, and delegating to team members, ensuring deadlines and demands are met by the wider client engagement team, and providing feedback as required Preparing and monitoring budgets and issuing client fees Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge for statutory and CASS audits, and related FCA regulations Ensuring internal and external expectations are achieved, including supporting the leadership team in setting and delivering strategic targets Supporting opportunities to promote the business in the marketplace Contributing to new opportunities and securing new work, with the support of the wider senior management team and Business Development team Building effective working relationships with clients and staff at all levels Acting as an ambassador for the firm About You:

Qualified Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) Experience in leading CASS Audits is essential Strong technical knowledge of CASS Strong industry knowledge, ideally within wealth and investment management Practical experience of using software systems in the preparation of audit files and audit working papers Ability to budget and manage audit finances Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to work Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively impact, influence, and manage others Our client supports flexible working and uses a hybrid working model.
