The UK CASS Office is responsible for ensuring the firm's London Branch, global branch network, affiliates and the clients contracted to its London Branch adhere to the FCA CASS sourcebook (“CASS”). The candidate is preferred to have experience in regulatory obligations, risk and control environment, project participation and assurance programmes. Why this role is important to us The UK CASS Office role is focused on ensuring State Street Bank & Trust Company’s (SSBTC) compliance with the rules and guidance in the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Client Asset (CASS) sourcebook. The UK CASS Office oversees relevant businesses across Global Delivery, Global Markets and Institutional Services in respect of CASS compliance. We deliver first line of defence oversight and assurance and provide expert support to the SSBTC designated Head of CASS and CASS advisory services to businesses across SSBTC. The UK CASS Office works closely daily with business partners, Compliance, and other Corporate functions to complement and build on the control and risk infrastructure already in place. What you will be responsible for Complete and ensure effective oversight in respect of the CASS Resolution Pack [CASS 10], Omnibus / External Shortfalls and the Client Money & Asset Return (CMAR) [SUP16.14] for SSBTC LB. Owner of any CASS Office breaches / incidents and oversight of remediation activities. Conduct controls assurance, author the submission of reports and track remediation through to resolution. Support the production of CASS management information and review at appropriate intervals to identify and evaluate business trends. Support the maintenance of CASS controls, risk environment and methodology to confirm that existing and future processes contain the optimum level of controls and continued mitigation of risk. Provide the business with a Subject Matter Expert advisory service or CASS support. Participate in CASS working group. Complete tasks for the CASS Oversight Sub-Committee as required. Develop and maintain relevant knowledge and understanding of the CASS source book and keep abreast of proposed or upcoming changes to relevant sections of the source book. Education & Preferred Qualifications Experience in SSBTC (Custody / Global Delivery / Global Markets / Investment Services) business would be beneficial or previous financial services experience.
