South Woodham Ferrers Leisure Centre, located just outside of Chelmsford, is one of Chelmsford City Council’s four leisure facilities, offering a variety of sporting activities where there is something for everyone. Every member of staff plays their role, working within a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated coaches to assist with the delivery of our gymnastic courses. Applicants should be experienced in working with children and be confident communicators with excellent customer care skills. Applicants should possess a Level 1 Gymnastics coaching qualification and have the ability to adapt delivery to suit various skills and abilities in order to create an environment to motivate and encourage participants. This post is offered on a casual basis with our current Gymnastics sessions running on a Saturday 9.30am – 4.30pm. Chelmsford City Council is committed to safeguarding vulnerable groups and expects all employees to share this commitment and have a range of policies and procedures in place which promote safeguarding and safer working practices across our services. The Council's Safer Recruitment process contains pre-employment vetting which includes safeguarding training, obtaining references and ensuring compliance with Disclosure and Barring Service process.
