Hawk 3 Talent Solution are looking for a Category or Purchasing Manager to join a growing company based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. The Role

Working in a small Purchasing team managing the Purchasing of goods and services to the required standards, accuracy, efficiency, and performance levels whilst maintaining the highest levels of Health and Safety. This is a multi-skilled role therefore colleagues will be required to undertake tasks as detailed below. Duties

Sourcing and resourcing of new and existing products and services to meet company requirements Working closely with the Supply chain Manager to resolve any supply chain issues and maintain availability Continuously evaluate and improve procurement practices, including identifying cost saving opportunities and process enhancements. Delivery of the company Purchasing strategy Maintaining/gaining required product accreditations and certifications Delivery of the Purchasing KPIs Implement sustainable and socially responsible strategic sourcing practices, including supporting local suppliers and supporting ethical sourcing. Manage supplier relationships, including regular communication, performance evaluation and issue resolution Accurate and timely maintenance of the Purchasing database Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, performance metrics and cost savings to management. Keep updated re regulatory requirements and ensure compliance to applicable laws and regulations. Own the profitability and growth of your categories, collaborating with sales and operations Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop procurement plans accordingly Keeping the company updated re Market trends and Innovation Carry out any other duties which may be reasonably requested by the site management team. Oversee the tender process, including sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers. Skills and Knowledge

Demonstrable success in purchasing and supply chain management with experience across an International supplier base Strong skills in budgeting, cost optimisation and negotiation techniques. Strong communication and negotiation skills Supplier compliance management Product compliance management Supplier relationship management ESG (Environmental and social governance) awareness Enthusiasm and drive with a can-do attitude Able to communicate clearly both written and orally. Able to work on own initiative and to targets. Commercially astute IT Literate Sage system literate (Desirable but not essential) Ability to work as a team to find solutions. CIPS qualified or actively working towards membership is a plus Benefits
