An established growing and highly successful Online Furniture Retailer is looking for a Category Buyer to join a small team to grow and develop their current product portfolio and expand new product offerings along with supporting the supply chain operation. This role is based on-site 5 days a week. My client is looking for someone who has a flair for product, keen to work with suppliers and bring new ideas to market.
Duties:
Responsible for exploring new products lines within homeware and furniture that will complement their current brand Understanding customer needs and demands Sourcing new products Develop new lines Liaising with suppliers, building relationships Dealing with shipping Scheduling Any other duties as reasonably required Skills and Experience:
Homeware/furniture/accessories/textiles/lighting or similar buying experience is essential Previous experience working in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Buying is essential Excellent Microsoft Excel skills Passionate about the product Experience dealing with shipping of goods Able to self-manage Self-driven and organised Able to work in a busy and demanding environment - working on several projects in an ever-changing environment Good communication Attention to detail Able to work as a team player What we offer:
