Category Manager
Salary: £300 - £500 day rate
Length: 3 months intially
About the Role:
As a Procurement Category Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective use of resources at a dynamic university. You will work closely with academic and professional services teams to develop and implement procurement strategies that support the university's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for different categories of goods and services.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders across various departments.
- Analyse data and provide reports to senior management on procurement performance.
- Evaluate options and make recommendations to ensure the best value for the university.
- Utilize planning techniques and risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks.
- Hold a CIPS qualification

- CIPS qualification or working towards one

- Strong analytical skills and ability to present data effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
