Procurement Category Manager

to lead a team of buyers in developing and implementing global procurement strategies. In this role, you will build strong relationships to improve costs, quality, and delivery across our supply chain. You’ll focus on creating sustainable, long-term supply chains that provide a competitive advantage for our business, customers, and suppliers. As a Procurement Category Manager, you will: Develop and deploy category strategies, ensuring contracts mitigate risks, optimize value, and secure supply. Build strategic relationships with senior-level suppliers to drive value and strengthen partnerships. Mentor and support your team to develop their procurement skills and achieve outstanding results. Address supplier issues, drive performance improvements, and report key metrics to the business. Negotiate complex agreements, analyze costs, and draft contracts to maximize business value. Ensure long-term planning for key commodities and identify opportunities to enhance procurement processes. This role involves sourcing components for products and services critical to the business. Key challenges include achieving cost savings and consolidating suppliers. About You To succeed in this role, you’ll need: A degree or relevant qualifications (CIPS preferred) and strong procurement experience in a complex or regulated industry. Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor a team and deliver results. Excellent negotiation skills, a strategic mindset, and a problem-solving approach. An understanding of total cost of ownership, lifecycle cost analysis, and contract management. Experience in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management. Passion for driving change, making improvements, and achieving excellence. Why Join?
