Join the Procurement team based in Bristol as a Category Manager and help us to achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation. We're experiencing an exciting period of growth here at VA. As part of this, we're recruiting multiple Category Manager positions to support our amazing Procurement team with critical strategic contracting, ensuring delivery of critical tools, components and solutions across 4 key business areas: Airframe

What success will look like for you, as a Category Manager? As a Category Manager, you will be required to assist in multiple aspects of developing our end-to-end procurement strategy on the VX4 programme. This will involve: Strategic sourcing & supplier selection

Managing supplier relationships to build strong and mutually beneficial relationships with our supply chain partners.

Managing supplier performance and monitor adherence to contract KPIs to secure on time, cost and quality products / services.

Managing the commercial negotiation and contracting process from RFI/RFP through to contract award.

Utilise data and insights to predict potential issues and determine required treatment to provide clarity on the risks within the supply chain.

Process/tool development.

Conduct day to day tasks within our ERP system: managing RFQs, supplier onboarding, placing POs, delivery assurance and receipting.

Supplier development activities to develop and maintain supplier readiness for ‘ramp up’.

You will report directly into the Head of Procurement and be a key member of the Procurement team, supporting the continued development of our in-house expertise, specialist knowledge and capabilities. What would we like you to bring? We want you to be successful in your role, in order to achieve this, you will need to have experience working as a procurement professional in a regulated or highly complex industry, with strong contract and project management skills. A business-related degree or CIPS qualification / equivalent experience would be highly beneficial. It would be beneficial, but not essential, to have experience with the procurement of complex/engineering systems. Our benefits Our people matter - we're not going anywhere without them.
