This role is pivotal in providing seamless communication between the Fairthorne Manor operational delivery team and our internal and external customers, ensuring the delivery of a consistently high quality, reliable and innovative catering service. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Work with the Head Chef to ensure the delivery of a high quality catering service across the YMCA Fairthorne Group, meeting the specific needs of Fairthorne Manor and the wider needs of other community branches where relevant. Provide accurate monthly catering cross charge information to the finance team. Work closely with the marketing team to prepare for events, communicating menu/pricing/forecasting. Provide an internal link between the Fairthorne Catering Team and offsite YMCA nurseries where meals are provided, including resolution of any menu, dietary and transport issues. Assist the Head Chef with administrative contact and liaison with the local EHO department to ensure compliance with food policies and statutory and legislative compliance, including maintenance of relevant paperwork and implementation of recommendations for delivery areas. Liaise with visiting schools and groups regarding dietary requirements, special requests, meal choices and other pre-visit catering requirements. Person Specification & Key Competencies: Personal Attributes: A genuine enthusiasm for the work of the organisation and a desire to contribute to the delivery of the YMCA Way. Enthusiasm for the work and values of the organisation. Ability to plan and implement activities, using good organization skills. Excellent communication skills. Financial acumen. Qualifications/Experience: Minimum 2 years in an administration and/or catering role. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to prioritise tasks and balance competing demands. Reliable and efficient IT skills. Positive and creative approach. Reliable track record in administration. Demonstrable ability to deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. Good understanding of Health and Safety.
