An independent girls' day school in Northwood, London, catering for 3 to 18 year olds, feeding a total of 1050 students and teachers. We offer a core feeding of breakfast, lunch, and tuck shop. This is a term-time plus role, working 41 weeks. This is a Monday to Friday operation with occasional evenings and weekend shifts. Catering Manager
to lead the team at one of our fabulous locations in
Northwood. This role will involve working closely with the catering team at the school, along with the executive chef manager to ensure that day-to-day catering and hospitality are delivered to a high standard. You will have experience in a similar role and ensure all catering operations are executed well while managing the financial budget for Northwood. Job Summary: Lead the catering team with the day-to-day production & service of the member and staff dining facilities across the site. Deliver both the client agreed budget and the company annual budget. Develop and implement the members and staff dining and hospitality facilities ensuring quality of food and customer service. Prepare, comment, and report upon the monthly and annual Profit & Loss Operating Statements. Develop each area of the catering offer in line with client expectations and budgetary constraints. Be responsible for the day-to-day operations of all catering facilities throughout the year. Assist in the process of change in departments by setting standards and motivating staff. Liaise with members and clients to ensure their requirements are met. Deliver Food Services operations as directed by the Operations Manager. Create and nurture an environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and a passion for service. Provide excellent food and customer service and respond quickly to customer needs. Develop the food offer in line with current market trends. Ensure age appropriate food is available and all dietary requirements are met. Establish and maintain open relationships with all departments. Ensure compliance with all policies, standards, and procedures. Maintain and develop service standards in all dining areas. Have full knowledge of Clients Safeguarding, Health & Safety, and reporting procedures. Carry out effective induction and development plans for staff. Support rehabilitation activities as required. Undertake any reasonable duties related to the effective operation and development of commercial areas. Essential: Proven experience of delivering excellent food standards. Hands-on
