Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our multi award winning Mental Health Support Team as a CBT Therapist. This is a diverse and enjoyable role, in which you will support a small caseload of children and young people (CYP), alongside supporting our low intensity CBT practitioners with Public Health England's Whole School Approach activities within our designated education settings. This includes CYP and parent/carer drop ins, training to education staff and workshops with CYP / parents / carers. The Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) support children and young people aged 5-18 within school and college settings who are presenting with mental health or emotional health problems which are of a mild to moderate level of complexity and/or intensity. You will receive regular group and 1:1 clinical supervision, alongside monthly management supervision and support from the wider team. MHST also work closely with our CAMHS and Healthy Minds Lincolnshire colleagues for support and shared learning. MHST working hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, however flexible working patterns are always considered. You will provide assessment and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for a range of presenting difficulties for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. We have various teams across the MHST, all in various stages of training. This role will therefore give you a great opportunity to work with both qualified staff and trainees. The role also offers a flexible style of working, as the team use a hybrid model, offering support both face to face and virtually to education staff, children, young people and their families. You will need to be enthusiastic and very well organised and able to travel across Lincolnshire as needed to provide services. You will be expected to work on your own initiative as well as work well within a multi-disciplinary setting. You will also need to be an excellent communicator and team player. Working for our organisation

Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provides mental health services and a number of learning disability, autism and social care services in the county of Lincolnshire. Employing around 2,800 staff, and serving a population of over 766,000, our people lie at the heart of everything we do. We are also leading the way in transforming care, with multi-million-pound transformation of patient environments and radical redesign of community services. This is the time to join and help redesign our services of the future. We offer options for flexible working and provide a wide range of training and promotion opportunities in all professions. We support and celebrate diversity, have active staff networks groups and are always looking at what more we can do to support our staff. Detailed job description and main responsibilities
