Napier Turbocharger, a Wabtec Company, has an exciting opportunity for a Cell Manager to join a well-established business that designs, manufactures, and tests industrial turbochargers supplied into the Power Generation, Marine, and Rail Traction industries.

Monday to Thursday 07:30am to 15:45pm and Friday 07:30am to 15:15pm Contract Type:
Permanent, Full-Time How will you make a difference? As Cell Manager, you will maintain an efficient production environment, and high-quality standards, manage inventory, lead and train team members, ensure safety compliance, and continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. What will your typical day look like? Oversee production output to meet sales plans. Ensure quality targets are achieved. Manage variable costs and labor productivity. Maintain consistent production throughput. Address quality issues and reduce non-value-added activities. Organise and execute training and development plans. Manage health and safety responsibilities, including audits and actions. Provide direct line management of the production workforce. Implement and manage operator performance targets. Support operation improvement activities with engineering. Assist in the introduction of new products. Undertake duties to drive continuous improvement. What do we want to know about you? A formal qualification (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Practical experience with lean tools and techniques. Experience working within cross-functional teams. Excellent planning and organisational skills. Proficiency in production process and system development. Strong employee development and performance management abilities. Effective communication skills at all levels.
