Projects run on consecutive or alternate weeks on Thursday and/or Friday 11am - 6pm About the role Are you an established Ceramics Practitioner and experienced Tutor? Join us to teach on our Ceramics Diploma course, helping to bring together people across the capital and beyond and to enrich lives through learning. In this role, you will work with advanced learners to develop their visual language; explore, master, and refine ceramic techniques and drawing skills to build a portfolio of 2D and 3D work. The primary focus of this course is for learners to work on the creative development of their ideas within a structure of varied taught projects during which tutors will help them develop and define their critical thinking and visual language to become independent practitioners and/or progress onto post-graduate study. To be considered, please submit your CV and a covering letter detailing your skills and experience. The ideal candidate will have: A graduate and/or post-graduate qualification relevant to Ceramics. Experience of teaching adults to an advanced level in an area relevant to Ceramics. A thorough and demonstrable knowledge of throwing, hand building, simple mould making, glazing, glaze development, surface treatment, and firing processes. An extensive knowledge of material properties of different clays, glazes, and firing temperatures.
