Responsibilities: Assist nursing staff with completion of resident activities of daily living, bathing, dressing, oral care, and other basic needs Perform vital signs on residents at the beginning of each shift and as directed Answer calls for assistance and observe changes in resident’s behavior, emotional state, or physical condition Complete required documentation in a timely manner Assist in transporting residents as needed Provide companionship to residents Ensure the safety of our residents Assist with motivating residents to help keep them active and engaged Maintain a clean and healthy environment Minimum Requirements: Must hold a current certification and CNA license in Virginia Must possess a positive and professional attitude Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment Previous experience working in a skilled nursing facility is a plus Ability to communicate effectively Ability to remain calm and patient with residents Ability to listen attentively is essential Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure A willingness to navigate changes in assignments Ability to show empathy and compassion while interacting with residents to increase their comfort level Culture makes all the difference in an organization.
