We have an exciting opportunity for a Change Risk Manager to join Royal London. This is a Second Line role within our dynamic Group Risk and Compliance function. In this position you will play a leadership role in designing and implementing the framework for risk oversight of the portfolio of Change initiatives that continually take our business forward.

About the role

What will you be doing?

Oversee the effectiveness of processes and mechanisms to identify, record, assess, manage and report Change related risks. Inform, support and challenge business areas in their obligations to manage Change related risks. Promote risk and control ownership within the business, acting as a key voice to embed risk management culture within functions. Provide oversight and advice to business management on the effective design and development of effective tools, models and processes to enable clear visibility of risks and performance of controls. Collaborate with senior stakeholders and risk professionals across the Group to ensure management reporting for Change risk management is accurate. Oversee root cause analysis, ensuring it has taken place and relevant action plans are put in place to address control gaps relating to Change related risks and risk events. Contribute to the Operational Risk Capital process, ensuring Change related risks are adequately reflected and any significant variances in exposure are communicated. Own and develop the second line change framework and operating model, to align with the first line change model.

About you

What will you bring to the role?

A relevant Professional Certifications such as, but not limited to, Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Prince 2 Foundation/Practitioner, and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC). Experience in providing constructive challenge to stakeholders. An understanding of programme governance, Change risk management and oversight methodologies and frameworks An understanding of IT Governance and methods for aligning technology change and technology strategy to business objectives and strategy. An understanding of process, risk and control management and assessment techniques, and how they can be applied to deliver outcomes for customers, regulators and the business. An understanding and application of the 3 lines framework, risk management framework, control risk self-assessment process.
