Client is a leading provider of nursing care to people living with complex neurological conditions. FULL TIME, 40 HOURS Responsibilities

To provide high quality, evidence-based nursing care to Residents admitted to the Centre. To deliver high quality, evidence-based and Person-centred focused care. To work effectively as part of the immediate team and wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT). To uphold a duty of care and clinical governance. To be the lead qualified professional on the designated unit and manage all clinical aspects for your responsible patients/residents. To maintain own and others knowledge of clinical excellence. To maintain knowledge and competencies in core nursing aspects including tracheostomy and ventilator care management as well as medication management, catheter care, feeding management and so on. To be able to clinically manage red flag and other concerns, and to know when to appropriately escalate care to external healthcare professionals. To effectively lead and manage the resources of the nursing floor in respect of staffing, (numbers and skill mix), equipment and supplies. To participate in Resident review meetings, (family meetings and funding care reviews), and to prepare accurate reports for such meetings. To liaise with the relevant Managers on operational aspects of the nursing floor including staff supervision and appraisal. Minimum Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN1) with active NMC registration Experience in neuro rehabilitation environment Skills

Awareness and understanding of current neuro health issues Understanding of NMC Code of Professional Conduct Tracheostomy and Ventilator Competencies Core Nursing Competencies incl Catheter Care, Medication, feeding Proficiency in dispensing and administrating oral medication Able to manage a deteriorating patient Interest to develop knowledge of the clinical speciality and own practice Ability to manage and prioritise conflicting workloads Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations Able to manage patients emotional needs and demonstrate empathy and caring Ability to solve and escalate problems and issues Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members Show drive and determination to achieve objectives Ability to function effectively under pressure
