SF Recruitment are pleased to be working in partnership with a c.£10m revenue South-East Derby based local charity who provide vital services to the local community. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong all-rounder to join an organisation where you can make a tangible difference to the local community, with mid-term career progression opportunity to work closely with an existing, supportive Head of Finance and CFO as part of their people development and succession plans. Upon joining the organisation as Finance Manager, you'll work closely with the Head of Finance to oversee an established team of 5 transactional staff, ensuring the smooth and effective running of the finance team, enabling the provision of timely and accurate MI which will be imperative in maximising the usage of funds available to the charity. About the role Duties and responsibilities will include: Responsible for the day-to-day management and co-ordination of core financial processes whilst seeking to continually improve their effectiveness Support the provision of accurate, timely and clear financial information to the Board of Directors, Chief Executive, and Heads of Department as required Production of first draft management accounts for review with the Head of Finance Provision of monthly financial information to Heads of Department and provide support in the understanding of their financial results and financial/commercial consequences of their actions and decisions Assisting with the preparation of periodic budgeting and forecasting processes as requested Provide line management and support to staff within the Finance team About you You will be a strong, proactive all-round accountant and people leader, able to work as a strong team player who is also an effective communicator. You will have strong management accounts preparation experience whilst also being able to demonstrate sound ability to support budget holders within the organisation. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, able to work to tight deadlines whilst completing multiple tasks simultaneously with an excellent analytical and problem-solving skillset, an eye for detail and able to work effectively in an ever-changing environment.
