Our client, an iconic motorcycle manufacturer based in the UK is currently seeking a
Chassis Design Engineer.
The successful candidate will support the design and development of a number of significant components and systems related to bodywork, lighting and seating on a range of new motorbikes.
The
Chassis Design Engineer
will:
Ensure timely release of all components and design changes in keeping with project timeline. Design quality components and systems for new class leading motorcycles. Create high quality CAD models, assemblies and technical drawings (including definition of datums and accurate use of GD&T) to company standards. Present design data in reviews with management across the company. Incorporate DFA/DFM/DFMEA learning into component design.
The
Chassis Design Engineer
will have: Engineering fundamentals in the design and development of components and assemblies Mechanical Engineering Degree with a grade of 2:1 or above. An understanding of motorcycle chassis design and its interaction with powertrain and electronics. Practical hands-on engineering and mechanical experience. Risk identification and mitigation.
