Job Description
My client is currently recruiting for an experienced chef to work in a 60+ bed purpose-built care home. The position is full-time Days, 8-hour shifts.
Previous cooking experience is essential. Care home experience is not essential; however, the chef needs to have a hotel or care home background. We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative chef who can cook fresh, nutritious meals.
Responsibilities:
Maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen
Develop and maintain menus that are varied and appropriate
Cater to a wide range of dietary needs
Keep on top of relevant record keeping in line with policy and procedure
Support with the ordering and stock taking of groceries
The successful applicant must agree to a DBS *Basic / Enhanced * Disclosure under the Criminal Records Bureau procedures. Employment will be offered to the successful applicant subject to a satisfactory Disclosure report.
