Chef Manager - Surrey - £45k
Immediate start – 44 week contract
I am currently looking to recruit an experienced Chef Manager for my client's Boarding School in the Guildford area.
My client is one of the leading independent Contract Caterers and is recruiting for a stunning junior school. The kitchen caters for 300 covers over breakfast, lunch, and dinner services. As the Chef Manager, you will be responsible for a team of 10 staff, ensuring training, development, and management of the team. You will be financially responsible and able to manage budget and costs.
As the Chef Manager, you will also be involved with school events and liaise with parents and teachers. This site hosts a number of high-end events, so someone with a high level of hospitality and strong craft skills is required.
Ideal Candidate Skills/Knowledge
Currently at Chef Manager level with an extensive craft background Proven background or experience within the independent education sector Strong understanding of all Food Hygiene/Health & Safety procedures Willing to be involved in school activities and have a strong background in events/hospitality Hold a current DBS Working predominantly Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends to suit the demands of the business.
