Welcome to Bosch. sia Abrasives Ltd (part of the Bosch Power Tools/Accessories Division) is an innovative manufacturer of non-woven and foam abrasive products as well as a distributor in the UK of coated abrasives. The sites in Greetland, West Yorkshire, and Alfreton, Derbyshire, have a wealth of experience in the manufacture and development of abrasive products, ideally complementing sia Abrasives’ systems solutions. Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and optimization of production and manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability. Engineering projects management for production equipment optimisation, modification, or new installation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the installation, commissioning, and operation of process equipment. Participate in troubleshooting and resolving process-related issues. Contribute to process performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in preparing technical reports and documentation related to engineering projects. Engage in health, safety, and environmental compliance activities. Please note that you must have the right to live and work in both the UK and Republic of Ireland for this position until September 2027 as sponsorship is not available. Minimum Requirements:

Graduate in Engineering discipline (Chemical or Mechanical). Willing to undertake a master’s degree study in the area of engineering in the nearby university of your choice. Excellent writing skills, with the ability to be creative on all topics and modify styles to suit varying target audiences and channels. Strong conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to report effectively. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. IT literate; CAD or SolidWorks will be advantageous. High level of integrity and confidentiality. Willingness to accept change. Proactive and positive approach to tasks. Strong interpersonal skills (cooperation across hierarchies and international boundaries). Demonstrates attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy. Flexible, with the ability to support and positively influence across various departments and levels of management. Willingness to learn more through challenging activities. Willingness to take responsibility and accountability for projects. This is a fixed-term position. This position is open to individuals who are willing to undertake part-time study at the Master's level.
