Mon - Fri either 10 a.m to 6 p.m OR 2 p.m to 10 p.m. 37.5 hours a week Pay:
£11.44 p/h rising to £12.21 p/h in April.
Role The Laboratory Technician's role is to support the chemistry team as they execute critical laboratory research, development, and manufacturing tasks to ensure high-quality, reproducible, high-throughput, and safe chemical manufacturing and data acquisition.
The Laboratory Technician’s main task is to
maintain clean glassware
and other reaction-ware used by the chemistry team, to ensure the productivity of the chemistry team while they carry out development and manufacturing tasks.
Key Responsibilities Maintaining laboratory housekeeping (glassware, working areas) Returning the dried glassware to the appropriate location(s) in the laboratory Complying with laboratory safety and procedures
Qualifications and Experience Higher (or equivalent) in English, Mathematics, and a Science subject desirable HNC/HND (or equivalent) in a Science Subject a plus Strong work ethic Good time-keeping Safety-conscious Works efficiently alone or as part of a team
