Responsibilities Technical Leadership Act as the technical authority for avionics engineering projects within Expleo. Provide strategic direction on avionics design, development, and certification. Lead and mentor engineering teams across multiple locations. Regulatory Compliance Ensure all projects comply with EASA Part 21 Subpart J requirements and other applicable regulatory frameworks. Engage with certification authorities such as EASA, FAA, and other national aviation bodies. Support the maintenance and extension of Expleo's Design Organisation Approval (DOA). Project Delivery Oversee the successful delivery of avionics engineering projects, ensuring they are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Manage technical risks, ensure robust problem-solving approaches, and maintain engineering excellence. Drive customer satisfaction by aligning project outcomes with client expectations. Innovation and Development Promote innovation in avionics technologies, fostering a forward-thinking culture within the team. Identify and integrate emerging trends, such as digital twins, automation, and advanced avionics software. Support business development by contributing technical expertise to bids and proposals. Collaboration and Communication Serve as the primary technical interface for internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners. Collaborate with other Expleo departments and global teams to deliver integrated solutions. Represent Expleo in industry forums and at customer meetings as a subject matter expert.
Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Experience Minimum of 10 years of experience in avionics engineering, with significant exposure to leadership roles. Extensive experience with EASA Part 21 Subpart J, including design and certification activities. Strong technical background in avionics systems, including hardware, software, and system integration. Proven experience working in a DOA environment and engaging with regulatory bodies. Demonstrated success in leading complex engineering projects in aerospace.
