The Ashburton District Council serves a resident base of over 38,400 and supports a growing and thriving district. We are an ambitious community-focused Council with a diverse range of projects and initiatives that promote the district and ensure quality infrastructure, community, and regulatory services for current and future generations. The Role
As Chief Executive, you will lead the development and delivery of the strategic vision and Long Term Plan for the Ashburton District. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective leadership of all Council activities, over 300 staff and services, and the efficient implementation and delivery of plans, policies, and projects. Your Experience
To succeed in this role, you will be a proven leader with strong internal and external communication and networking skills. You will support the Mayor with advocacy and promoting our District both regionally and nationally. You will also inspire a high-performance culture that drives long-term value through innovative and efficient practices and programme delivery. Requirements
Proven leadership experience in Local Government Strong financial and commercial leadership capability Excellent communication and networking skills What We Offer
