Artemis Executive search has been retained by Northern Ireland’s fast-growing AI company with unsurpassed customer advocacy which specializes in the water industry.

Already a global sector leader in several product areas, this B2B SaaS company is finalizing Series A funding with a view to further product development and expansion in North America, Australasia, and Europe.

This newly created opportunity will play a key role in domestic and international business planning, navigating the business through an industry sale or Series B funding, shareholder management, as well as financial analysis and reporting, cash-flow management, and all aspects of financial control.

This Private Equity-backed business has a 5-year plan to >10x the value of the business through organic growth.

Roles and responsibilities:

Growth Planning, Financial Analysis and Reporting:

Driving the growth planning of the business, overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to provide insights into business performance and facilitate informed decision-making.

Corporate Finance:

Advise CEO and other Exec Team members on funding strategies, exit strategies, and industry acquisition.

Financial Controls & Compliance:

Establishing and maintaining robust financial controls and compliance frameworks, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.

Bid and Tender Modelling:

Development of customer bids and modelling tender pricing scenarios.

Technology and Systems Enhancement:

Continuously assess and improve financial systems and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices in financial technology and automation.

Product/Solution Economics:

Build a better understanding within the business of product/solution economics to aid the tendering process and overall strategy.

ROI Performance:

Develop strategies to increase return on investment and profitability.

Cash Flow Management:

Managing cash flow effectively to support business operations and expansion plans, optimizing working capital, and mitigating liquidity risks.

Team Leadership and Development:

Leading and developing a finance team of 3, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to drive organizational success.

Key Member of the Management Team:

Opportunity to play a major role in domestic and international growth.

What do we look for?

ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified accountant with a minimum of seven years’ experience post-qualification gained in a commercial finance environment.

Previous experience within a fast-growing commercial business such as a start-up in a Finance Director role.

Experienced in the use of financial modelling to support the creation of budgets, rolling forecasts, and other financial plans.

Strong commercial awareness with experience in the reporting of commercial key performance indicators.

Previous experience in a management position, including the training and development of team members.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with both staff and external stakeholders.

Demonstrable experience in the use of accounting software.

Very experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience of B2B bid modelling.

Exposure to Private Equity transactions or experience working within finance teams in Private Equity backed businesses is highly desirable.
