Role Overview: As CFO, you will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing the company’s financial strategy and operations.You will provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and Board, driving long-term growth while ensuring the company’s financial health is maintained.This position requires a seasoned leader with substantial experience in the retail sector, a strong grasp of financial operations, and a proven ability to navigate complex financial landscapes. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development of corporate strategies and annual business plans, ensuring the company’s objectives are met efficiently and effectively. Act as a key liaison with investors, overseeing fundraising efforts and ensuring financial stability to support ongoing growth. Manage and lead the finance team, ensuring the department operates efficiently and develops in line with the organisation’s strategic goals. Collaborate with the CEO and Board to define the company’s strategic vision, including providing financial forecasting and analysis to support decision-making. Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the expansion and diversification of the company’s operations. Ensure the establishment and maintenance of robust financial controls to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements. Oversee the preparation of the operating budget and work closely with the Board to ensure financial objectives are aligned with the company’s broader goals. Manage all fiscal activities, including overseeing revenue and expense reporting, balance sheet management, and banking activities. Oversee the production of financial reports, statements, and cash flow projections, ensuring their accuracy and timeliness. Review and monitor the company’s tax position, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. Desired Skills and Experience: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or equivalent, with extensive experience in senior financial management roles. Proven track record in leading and developing finance functions, particularly within the retail industry. Strong technical accounting knowledge, with the ability to translate complex financial data into strategic insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing teams. Ability to work with precision and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Advanced Excel skills and experience in financial modelling and reporting.
