Job Description
We are seeking an outstanding individual for the position of Chief Fire Officer/Chief Executive to lead
Avon Fire & Rescue Service . This essential public service operates across a population of over 1.1 million and spans an area of more than 500 square miles in Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire. The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of diversity, inclusion, cohesion, and equality matters, both within the organisation and across the communities served. A strong commitment to making these areas the safest places to live, work, and visit is also essential. Key Responsibilities:
Led by an enthusiastic and innovative approach, the Chief Fire Officer/Chief Executive will deliver exceptional services, attract and develop a talented workforce, and make effective use of resources. A clear understanding of the issues facing the Fire and Rescue Service in Avon and the UK would be beneficial, but we welcome applications from anyone with comparable staff and budgetary experience. An estimated salary range based on title, job description, and location is approximately £120,000 - £150,000 per annum.
