JOB SUMMARY The Chief Lending Officer is responsible for the general management and administration of the bank’s commercial lending, credit administration, and treasury management areas. The Chief Lending Officer ensures compliance of all commercial policy and regulatory requirements and administers them to minimize risk to the bank. The Chief Lending Officer is ultimately responsible for the infrastructure that supports implementation of loan policies, products, and strategies. Other responsibilities include: Manages the activities of the lending division to ensure maximum overall profitability of the Bank’s lending activities. Develops and recommends loan objectives, policies and procedures; provides guidance to lending officers. Participates in business development activities. Works with the credit department in the development of loan policy and implementation bank wide. Negotiates all loan participations and purchase agreements, reviews applicable loan documents, effects settlement and maintains file and servicing for such loans. Manages the commercial loan officers to maximize productivity, efficiency and the potential of human assets of the company, including hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values and overall policies of the bank. Supervises the Treasury Management function of the Bank – with focus on implementing activities and programs to develop commercial and industrial deposit activity. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four-to-ten-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to management and/or board of directors. Excellent lending experience in a community or super regional bank. Strong credit underwriting skills. Well-rounded senior management experience with a successful track record of accomplishments and a strong lending background during his or her career. JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Exempt, 40 hours per week WORK LOCATION: In person SCHEDULE: Day shift Monday through Friday with some Saturday mornings and additional hours if needed Minster Bank is an equal opportunity employer.
