Questar III BOCES is currently seeking a visioning, dynamic and enthusiastic leader to provide leadership within our agency and to component districts. The Chief School Improvement Officer (CSIO) will lead the Office of School Improvement (OSI) using a continuous improvement framework. Ensure that professional learning opportunities for staff within the BOCES and the component districts are reflective of the latest technologies and best practices to improve student outcomes. The CSIO is a member of the Questar III BOCES Senior Management Team. Qualified candidates should have the following characteristics:

Possess strong leadership skills that will foster a professional learning environment and community within different stakeholder groups in the region.
Recognize the importance of putting students first by providing professional learning programs and shared services grounded in research.
Understand the importance of data-driven instruction in instructional decision-making.
Possess a thorough understanding of State Education Department initiatives related to the areas of responsibility.
Possess outstanding interpersonal skills that will energize and engage the school community and stakeholders in support of Questar's Leading Edge - Framework for Goal setting, Innovation and Growth.
Possess a successful track record as a School District Administrator.
Have New York State School District (SDA or SDL) administrative certification.
