BX is a scaling, science-led climate-tech developing innovative, AI driven products that support carbon credit projects and regenerative agriculture. Through their Environmental Farm Management Software, BX is on a mission to restore the planet for future generations by supporting farm practices that store carbon and create sustainable farming systems, all while increasing revenues for farmers and promoting long-term sustainability. The Chief Science Officer will play a pivotal role in driving BX's scientific innovation, transforming cutting-edge environmental science into commercially viable technology solutions. Drive the development of high-impact environmental tech that supports carbon credit projects and regenerative agriculture efforts. Ensure Scientific Rigour:
Set and maintain high standards for BX’s climate-related initiatives, from carbon footprint assessments to data integration. Represent BX Globally:
Act as the public face of BX’s scientific mission at industry events, conferences, and in the media. Team Leadership:
Build, mentor, and lead a team of specialist scientists, transforming complex research into real-world solutions. Data-Driven Decisions:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed AI-driven insights into tech and empower our customers with meaningful, actionable data. What You’ll Bring: PhD in
Environmental Science
or a related field (e.g., soil health, carbon credits, biochar, regenerative agriculture). 10+ years of experience translating scientific research into
commercial products
in the ClimateTech or AgriTech space. Proven leadership managing teams of
specialist scientists
and sustainability professionals. Experience working closely with product development, engineering, and executive leadership teams. A strong background in
data analysis
