The Chief Underwriting Officer is a key position within the Underwriting Management function and the business as a whole.

This is an expansive role with a diverse range of responsibilities and will include: Guide and review improvements to procedures and methodologies Lead enhancements and the development of products Overview of controls framework and regulatory compliance requirements Manage the underwriting audit function Monitor training needs and skills development Ensure effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders Drive strategic portfolio management Set and deliver underwriting KPI's

What you need to show: In-depth understanding and experience in the UK commercial underwriting market Good knowledge of underwriting policies and procedures with first-hand experience of implementation of these Proven expert knowledge of commercial insurance wordings, product development, underwriting, legal, and regulatory Excellent collaboration skills, interpersonal skills, project management skills, analytical skills Strong leadership and management experience.
